This web page is for “AOT Implementers”: those who have come together with other stakeholders in their community to reach a consensus that an AOT program is needed, and are now ready to begin the work of making this vision of better care a reality.
If you are an AOT Implementer, we urge you to join the Treatment Advocacy Center’s AOT Learning Network – a resource to connect you with peers from across the United States who have walked the path of successful AOT implementation and are eager to help others follow suit.
Developing and sustaining a successful AOT program requires a systematic approach. To simplify this process, we offer ten “Building Blocks” for establishing a new AOT program and maintaining it as a permanent fixture within a local mental health system.
